The difference between a 4-stroke and a 2-stroke agricultural sprayer pumps is that every 2 cycles crankshaft rotation of a 4-stroke engine completes a working cycle through 4 strokes of intake, compression, power, and exhaust, while a 2-stroke engine only needs one revolution of the crankshaft and 2 strokes. One work cycle can be completed. From the structural point of view, the structure of the 2-stroke engine is relatively simple, mainly composed of cylinder head, cylinder, piston, piston ring and other parts, and there are intake holes, exhaust holes and ventilation holes on the cylinder block; the opening of the air holes and closing is determined by the position of the piston. Compared with the 4-stroke engine, there is no complicated valve train and lubrication system, and the cooling system is generally air-cooled, which greatly simplifies the structure.
A 2-stroke engine completes a cycle when the crankshaft rotates once. The first stroke is called the scavenging stroke. The piston moves from the bottom dead center to the top dead center, completing the exhaust of exhaust gas and the entry of fresh air in the cylinder and compression. When the piston reaches the top dead center, the spark plug ignites, The detonation of the gas in the gas shortage pushes the piston to move downward, completing a cycle process. A 4-stroke engine completes one cycle by rotating the crankshaft twice. That is, the compression of the intake air into the cylinder and the ignition and detonation work are completed, and the exhaust gas is flashed out of the cylinder. For diesel engines, high-pressure atomized oil is injected into the cylinder after compression to generate detonation work.
